Meet Our Paris Cheese Celebrities!

Thanks for your interest in our new Château de Courances & Paris tour! We’re delighted by the quick response and so eager to whisk you off to the City of Love in May, 2023 for a week full of cheese tastings, board building, garden parties, and more. My co-host Madame Fromage (above) and I spent more than two years scouting locations and meeting with locals, so allow me to introduce you to some of the special people who will be joining us.

Lindsey Tramuta

Author of The New Paris and The New Parisienne

Author of The New Paris and The New Parisienne

If you followed her blog LostinCheeseland, then you know of journalist, author, and cultural guide Lindsey Tramuta – a Philadelphian who turned her Temple University year abroad into a lifestyle. Since moving to Paris in 2006, she’s used her go-getter attitude and insightful eye to write for The New York Times, Travel & Leisure, Fortune, Afar, and many more, plus she's written two highly acclaimed books: The New Paris and The New Parisienne.

Lindsey also happens to be a cheese lover (Beaufort is her hunk of choice), which is why she’s agreed to join us for dinner and a book signing. Want to know about the most interesting food artisans in Paris, or where to find the best woman-owned boutiques? Lindsey will answer all your questions during her Q&A at Château de Courances -- our home away from home for the first 4 days of our tour.

Jennifer Greco

French Cheese Expert & Food Tour Guide

Paris is full of wonderful guides, but there’s no one quite like Jennifer Greco who has been chronicling her life through French cheeses for more than a decade – check out her blog Chez Loulou. During our recent scouting visit, she led us on a spectacular private tour of her favorite patisseries, chocolatiers, and cheese shops. Then, she curated a wonderful cheese and wine tasting for us.

It was so fabulous that we’ve asked her to do the same for you when we arrive in Paris on Day 5 of our tour. Get ready for the most delicious Marais neighborhood walk, followed by a seated tasting at one of Jennifer’s favorite cheese-centric restaurants.

Pierre Brisson

Cheese School Owner & Cheesemaker

The son of a winemaker turned cheese fanatic, Pierre is devoted to raw-milk cheese education and creation. Long before we met Pierre, we heard about a cheese-shop owner who was lobbying to launch a Paris cheese museum. Of course, we had to meet him. His shop, Paroles de Fromagers, is actually a cheese school that many French cheesemongers have attended for trainings. Once we saw his passion and his space, we knew he had to be part of our tour.

Prepare to spend a day making cheese with Pierre and learning about the business of sourcing and selling French cheese. Trust us, you may end up wanting to open your own shop…or being a docent in his future museum.

Jane Bertch

Owner of La Cuisine Paris

Two years ago, my co-host was meandering around Paris when she received an invitation from the owner of a local culinary school via Instagram. “Madame Fromage, I see you are in Paris. Meet me for coffee?” Turns out Jane Bertch is a major cheese lover and she was keen to connect with Cheese Journeys. So, it’s perfect that our capstone experience on Day 7 in Paris will be – what else? – a morning class at at Jane’s charming school: La Cuisine Paris.

You’ll spend the morning with two of Jane’s professional pastry chefs learning to make the perfect macarons, then you'll meander down to the banks of the Seine for a picnic. Prepare to be awed by Jane’s hospitality and her knowledge about the best foodie spots in Paris. She’ll offer you a terrific culinary map, perfect for anyone in search of edible souvenirs.
