““Anna Juhl built Cheese Journeys around a simple, radical idea: that the best way to understand a place is to sit at the table of the people making it. Her tours don’t just visit cheese producers, they champion them. They put their cheese and their stories in front of travelers who go home and ask for them by name. That’s how small, brilliant producers stay in business. That’s how regional craft survives.
Working with her, and with the chefs behind the pairing menu, reminded me why I do this. A glass of wine isn’t a glass of wine. It’s a vineyard, a family, a year of weather, a decision someone made about how to live. Pair it with the right cheese, the right plate, the right room, and suddenly people don’t just taste it. They remember it.””
